A Message from Pastor Lee and Gidget
April, 2020
Hello Easley First, we love each one of you and are missing you! It is our greatest desire to continue to meet the needs of our people even during this difficult time
when we cannot be together. That said, we would like to offer you a summary of some tremendous opportunities for those who may be struggling right now.
1) If you are currently laid off, or have reduced hours, and are worried about paying your bills because of being unable to work right now, the recent bill passed into law
will allow almost anyone to file for temporary unemployment benefits even if you weren't previously eligible for those. Please check out
THIS link to find more information
and a link to apply for those benefits. Do that as soon as you can!
2) If you are renting or have a mortgage and are unable to pay these right now, please contact your landlord or mortgage companies.
There are forbearance provisions in place right now for non-payment and a prohibition of adding fees and/or evicting you from or foreclosing on your home.
3) Stimulus relief is coming in the next few weeks. A quick summary of that
relief is that each individual over 18 will receive a rebate in the amount of
$1,200. For every dependent under the age of 18 you will receive and additional
$500. If you have a dependent over 18 they are not eligible for a payout. For
example, a family of 4 would receive $3,400. This is for individuals who have an
adjusted gross income of less than $75,000, or $150,000 married (filed jointly).
4) By continuing to keep up regular giving you will enable us as a church to help up support those in need. You can give online by going to our website
and clicking on the give online link next to the church logo.
Several in the church have already given this way. Others have given by mailing
their checks to P. O. Box 329, Easley, SC 29641.
Continue to call, text, and pray for one another. We love you and are praying for you.
Blessings
