Pastor Lee and Gidget Athey Coming to Church

Psalm 27:4

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
Coming to Church
I believe that in America, this verse means a whole lot more to the church now than it ever has. I heard these words over and over again during the past several weeks, “Pastor, I can’t wait til we have church again.” Boy, that makes a pastor’s heart feel good.

I am thankful for the opportunity to do church online because so many have the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ. But church was never meant to be something you experienced by yourself. Church is meant to be experienced with others. The church is God’s family gathering together to worship Him.

That day will come soon. And when it does, the churches across America are going to be full of people worshipping their God. I can’t wait. And like David, it is the one thing I ask God for.

Churches in many ways are like gasoline stations across America. If you don’t have gas stations, where you are going you will eventually run out of fuel. Many of us may feel like we are running on empty but hold on; it won’t be long before God’s gas station will be open again.

Let us pray for the churches we attend.

Let us pray!

Blessings,

Pastor Lee & Gidget Athey
