In most sports there is a game clock. The game clock lets you know how much time is left in the game and when it gets to double zeros the game is over.
I can’t tell you how many times, I have wished for just another five minutes on the clock to give my team one more chance to win the game. But no matter how much I wished it never happened.
The same is true in life. Each of us has a game clock. We don’t know when our game clock will reach double zero’s. But God knows for He has set our clocks. That is why the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 5:15, 16
“Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise — making the most of the time, because the days are evil.”
Let’s make the most of the time God has given us. Let’s live wisely.
